Trump represents all that's wrong with America. And he won anyway

Donald Trump started it and continued to double down on his being a bigot, sexist, misogynist, xenophobic, angry man who ranted and raved. Most of us thought he would lose and so many people didn't vote.
It's not that our candidate lost, Hillary was far more experienced, but it was how millions of American's were manipulated by this mad man. He tapped into the part of America where white people are still mad that we had a black President. And no way in hell we're they going to vote for a woman. But the worst part was that so many American's that voted for Trump would oversee all his negative, mean and abusive manners and vote for him anyway.
Even after so many women came forward and said that he forced himself on them, in the same manner in which the video saying he liked to force kiss women and even grab them by the p****. This man, how could he win? We are the laughing stock of the world. You and I both know this man shouldn't be anywhere near the nuclear codes.
So many American's want it the way it used to be, a nation run by old white men. Trump continued to say that our President wasn't born in America until only recently.
He takes to twitter in the middle of the night and says the most stupidest of things. His handlers finally took charge and starting writing speeches for him.
I think Trump needs to address the nation and apologize for all the mean, racist things he had said for 18 months. And he needs to say he will take a Diversity class so that he learns how to be a human being. He showed us his true self and now he's trying to pretend he's changed. He isn't , the same black heart is there.
He's vowed to build the wall, deport millions of people, Muslims fear him, he called Hispanic's rapists and criminals. He wants to defund Planned Parenthood and reverse Roe Vs Wade. It's been a war on women, and he won. Many of us baby boomer women have worked four decades at 76 cents on the dollar and were hoping to see our first woman President who could accomplish wage equity once and for all.
He has no experience in government so he better bring in a team of people who do. And he better learn to keep his big mouth shut. One can only hope that something will bring him down. Another woman coming forward, Trump University lawsuit, and don't forget he's going to sue all the women who came forward and exposed that he's a sexual predator.
It's only a matter of time, and it will be time to impeach him.
Read this comment by Gregg Popovich on the election he is profound and explains things perfectly about this big mess we're in.

America wakes up after election with a bad taste in our mouths

Many American's are waking up after the election with a bad taste in our mouths. How could our brothers and sisters vote in such a monster? A racist, sexist, sexual assaulting bully? How, why? All i know is that we have to hunker down and get ready for the next long four years, and know that one man will never change all the progress people of color and women have accomplished. How people with disabilities have come too far to let one bully make fun of them.
This is just their last attempt to stop something that can never be stopped. Loving our diversity will get us through this. Everyone on the street I am saying hello to, smiling, helping someone, opening my heart. One man will never keep us from overcoming just another bully in the long history of bullies.
Just breathe, move forward and never let one man stop you from loving one another. The storm, this too will pass.

From our well respected Senator Jeff Merkley in Oregon

Dear Diane,

The first rule of holes is this: when you’re in one, stop digging. Climate change has devastated our farming, fishing, and forest economies for too long and fossil fuel energy sources continue to make that hole deeper.

Earlier this summer, I hosted a panel at the Netroots Nation Annual Conference to discuss meaningful environmental solutions such as the Keep It in the Ground Act, legislation I introduced last November that would end all new fossil fuel leases on federal public lands and waters. This proposed legislation would keep over 90 percent of the potential carbon emissions from oil, gas and coal on our federal lands and federal waters from being emitted into the atmosphere and contributing to climate change.
In my opening comments at the panel, I announced my next major initiative to combat climate change: phasing out the use of fossil fuels like coal, oil and  gas by 2050. In the next several months, I will introduce legislation that clearly lays out the path to move our country away from fossil fuels and towards a 100 percent clean and renewable energy future by 2050.
As we approach the harsh reality of global warming, it’s becoming more and more clear every day: today’s fossil fuel economy will not sustain our environment or our economy for much longer. The impacts of a warming planet are affecting our communities, our economy, our health, and our safety.
Some will say that it’s too hard, that we can’t do it. I vehemently disagree. America has shown over and over that if we commit our ingenuity and political will to something, we can change the world. It’s time for that same kind of national commitment and to revolutionize how we use and generate energy.

Hillary raises her voice and men's hackles go up

Last night at Matt Lauer's town hall, which was called pathetic, Hillary rose her voice and many didn't like it. Whether it's in the board room or in the White House, people just have to get used to strong women and how we too fight for our ideas.

The coal industry's days are numbered as we turn away from polluting coal.

I just can't stand hearing the woes of the coal industry and how it's the only job many of the coal miners ever had. Too bad, as a nation we are tired of all the pollution coal burning causes to our environment and like Hillary said, we will close down coal mines in the future..So what if that's the only job many of them had, maybe it's time to learn how to do something else. It happened like that in Oregon, where loggers wanted to completely clear cut every stand of timber, and because of wise conservation, they put limits on how and when the time can be harvested. The forest service and private companies like the coal industry made millions over the decades. You will just have to find another job, join the rest of us who have had dozens or more jobs in our lifetime. The logging industry workers had training supplied by the government, just like coal workers will get with Hillary's plans. CNN coverage of the poor coal miners, on the side of the poor coal industry that pollutes our air and waters.
Just calm down W Virginia and look for other work, our Pacific NW loggers are now working other jobs. and the forests are being run more efficiently, using thinning and forest practices where there is always forests to cut, without clear cutting everything, and killing our old growth. Coal will be phased out, there are renewable energy now with wind, solar and natural gas. Fossil fuels will also be phased out. Get with the program W Virginia and the rest of the states that have coal mines.
I don't feel sorry for the coal companies they have wrecked havoc on our environment and made billions doing it.

Myelin repair and stem cells get attention at AAN Meeting: MS Connection

Myelin repair and stem cells get attention at AAN Meeting: MS Connection: Tremendous advances in the understanding and treatment of MS were presented last week at the AAN Meeting in Vancouver. One of the areas getting the most attention was myelin repair. Myelin...

Another approach to myelin repair is the transplantation of myelin repair promoting stem cells. Advances in this approach were reported by Dr. Saud Sadiq from the Tisch MS Center in New York, who is attempting to promote myelin repair by transplantation of bone marrow derived stem cells into the spinal cord. Dr. Sadiq presented preliminary findings from treatment of 13 people with progressive forms of MS. He reported no serious adverse events so far (the trial has not yet been completed). There are also hints that some people may be responding to the treatment. But the trial is not designed to detect a clinical benefit, so caution should be used when interpreting these results. I look forward to the completion of this study and the publication of the full results

: Susan Surandon gets flack over her comment: she would rather vote for Trump than Hillary.

: Susan Surandon gets flack over her comment: she would rather vote for Trump than Hillary.

It's all about how women can throw other women under the bus. In 2008 I believe Susan was a Hillary fan. It's all about the age old idea that men hold all the power and that strong women aren't liked even by other women. For her to make a statement that she would rather vote for Trump over Hillary is really disappointing. Would we really want Trump over Hillary. Of course she has changed her statement.
Let's not forget about all the women in America who have lived decades being oppressed by wage inequality. Do we really want another old, white dude for President? Talk about status quo.
America think about it, why are so many resistant to having a woman President? Women are the majority we should choose our next President, Trump or Cruz aren't viable solutions, so that leaves Bernie and Hillary, who are really not that different when it comes down to it. I hope you are voting Democratic, Trump would be a disaster.

Elizabeth Warren scolds the obstructionists party, Republican's had 8 yrs of it

Elizabeth Warren scolds the obstructionists party, Republican's had 8 yrs of it  this is the link in blue.

Ever since President Obama was elected the GOP said they would obstruct every idea he had, and the last seven years have proven that. Either upset that a black man is President (yes i am bold enough to say it) or just downright meanness, the GOP have said no to everything our President tried to accomplish.
Then the Cheif Justice died and it's time to choose another to the Supreme Court, this is according to our constitution, that our President can give suggestions to who that person should be. And here we go again, the GOP won't let it happen. Obama even was going to suggest a conservative, to replace a conservative. and still the GOP is saying they won't allow any candidates to be chosen.
It's a matter of doing what's part of our constitution, and they say they won't allow it. These obstructionists should be charged with trying to interfere with this process. They want to wait until after the election, during a time when many issues are coming before the Supreme Court. Like challenges to Roe VS Wade.
Don't worry, when Hillary wins she will be able to appoint the judge and perhaps she wil choose Barack Obama.

Health benefits other than iron are being hailed by doctors.

I started writing my own music after i started listening to Joni Mitchell songs. I released my own CD many years letter, folk music that told the story of my inspired life. So simple then.

A letter to the millenniums

A letter to the millenniums Baby boomer women have worked 45 plus years at a wage that was 79 cents on the dollar less than a man made doing the same job. Young millenniums should know that their mothers and grandmothers who were feminists have been working for decades to get wage equity.

This next election is our chance to finally have our first female president. Help us make this happy. Read my letter to millenniums on Daily 2Cents blog.

British Columbia helped save the largest temperate Rainforest in the world.

A book about a woman in Oregon living the counterculture life.

http://www.amazon.com/Diane-DeVillers/e/B00BWY3Q9K

My paperback book "The Eve Chronicles" included three books, "From the Waters of Coyote Springs" "Felix and Eve" and "The Arrangement" all three also available seperately as e books. After 35 years in service to people with disabilities I am now disabled myself with Multiple Sclerosis, but it's a good story, one day while I was cleaning out my closet I ran across my journals from when I first moved to Oregon and worked as a timber cruiser in eastern Oregon doing timber surveys, living in my tent in a camp with other foresters. As I read the journal i thought" Wow this could be made into a book, and that's when I started writing., "From the waters of Coyote Springs.
"Felix and Eve" is when Eve moved to the Oregon coast to spend the summer with an elderly man who just had heart bypass surgery and needed a live in caregiver. At first he was rather cranky but before long them started a relationship that some would say was unique. At night while they played cards Felix started to tell her about his younger days when he worked for the notorious Al Capone. A heart warming yet funny story.
The last book "The Arrangement" is about the now retired, baby boomer Eve who now owns property on Moon Mountain in Eugene, Oregon. Vinnie her old friend lives in a yurt in her back yard. Every year she gets a letter with a skeleton key in it and heads down to Catalina Island to take care of an old friend and lover who has MS.

A letter to millenniums

A letter to millenniums: http://dailytwocents.com/a-letter-to-the-millenniums/

Think about your mothers and grandmothers when you vote how they would want the first woman President. Feminists who started the movement have waited a long time to get a woman ready and willing to be our first woman President.

Bernie talks about a revolution but what are his plans. If he was so good at revolution then why didn't he and all the other old, white dudes in Congress pass laws to give wage equity to women?

A vote for Hillary is a vote we won't regret. Who better to lead the nation than a woman? Many of you millenniums say "We will see our first woman President but not now?". I say why wait, baby boomer women have fought for this chance for decades, and we don't have many decades left.

Vote for your mother and grandmother, who fought so you could be free from oppression. Who better to lead our nation than a woman?
