Donald Trump just disqualified himself by what he said about Muslims | World Pulse

After this week's Trumps boner, about sweeping all Muslims into one lot, even some Republican's are breaking rank and denouncing Trump. Why is Paul Ryan, the new GOP Speaker of the House, still saying he will support Trump??? Say what? In a world gone wrong, this Republican debate hopefully will show the country just what they all stand for. Read about how what he said should disqualify himself to be President. Read the article below.
http://www.dailykos.com/stories/2015/12/9/1458515/-White-House-Donald-Trump-just-disqualified-himself-from-becoming-president?detail=emailclassic
I feel sorry for the GOP, how twisted Trump is making their party. Why won't the other Republicans stop their support? Trump proves himself every day that he's racist, sexist, misogynist bully, and yet many still love the guy.
Come on America, don't vote in this movie star, with no values except those against the mainstream.
This guy spews out hate speech from his hate of Hispanics to the hate of all Muslims. He's ignorant.
Do the right thing, Dump that chump, Trump
We got our eyes on you!

Be Careful what you wish for. If Donald Trump gets the nomination were in big trouble. | World Pulse

From one of Trump's fellow debate people who takes it to the extreme, what could happen if Trump wins the nomination. Be scared, be careful what you wished for. From his rants about Hispanic's being rapists, to treating women poorly,,calling them slobs, to trying to build a wall to keep people out. Sounds elitist to me.
At to top it off Trump mocks a disabled person with his sad, flailing of his arms to imitate the reporter he tried to get to admit he was the one Trump was referring to about there being dozens of Muslims cheering as the 2nd tower went down on 9-11.
Americans, get serious, stop supporting this clown, this hater, this "he would make a terrible President" can you see how he would behave with other world leaders. For crying out loud, look at Marco Rubio, he's got solutions, and he would win the Hispanic vote. And I'm a Hillary fan, i would love to see the debate between those to.
Ted Cruz is a teabagger, we don't need one of them running our country either. So much extremism's, so many haters. And why the target on Planned Parenthood. Really? Where are all the lines of men lined up to get vasectomies? Birth control should be free, in a world of 7.4 BILLION people why de fund an agency that helps women and men "Plan their pregnancies"
I say women should abstain for right now, put the pressure on men to show their support to women's issues. All women, Democratic, or Republican, every woman has to know we are the majority in this country. Vote more women into positions of power in industry and to the highest office: the President of the United States, needs to have it's first woman President.
Will you join me in support of women. And get out your check book and send some money to Planned Parenthood, they are going to need it if the House passes the bill to defund them for a year. Then there is always our President, Mr. Obama, he could veto it. Stop this war on women.

Misdiagnosis is common with Multiple Sclerosis. | World Pulse

Misdiagnosis is common with Multiple Sclerosis. | World Pulse

I knew this to be true, i started tripping a lot and was told i had sympathetic nerve distrophy in my foot, going years to Physical Therapy, spending all kinds of money, until one day my PT gal said, has anyone given you an MRI? I think you could have MS. What a relief when they sent me to a neurologist and he told me I had Multiple Sclerosis. For four years i knew something was wrong. The weak right leg, the feeling vibrations in the feet and around my middle. And the fatigue and heat intolerance.
I was so happy to finally find out what was wrong with me.  Then comes the fear. Then came the time for me to go online and discover just what MS was. I had, have the Progressive kind of MS, where disability continues, with no relapse, no getting back what i lost. I have two muscles that are paralyzed in my right leg, which explained the drop foot and falling all the time. They made me a foot brace that helps me walk without tripping.
I have to avoid the heat, I have to slow down and take naps to "Refill the Cup". Stress is like a packman in my brain, eating away at my nerves, the nerves that control my leg.
But i was able to retire at 53, and one day when i was cleaning out my closet, i found my journals from the early eighties when I first moved out to Oregon. I lived like a nomad, in the Wallowa Mountains of Eastern Oregon with a group of foresters who did timber inventory for the forest service. I started reading the journals and started to chuckle and decided that I would write a book, which I did. Actually three books, "From the Waters of Coyote Spring", "Felix and Eve" and "The Arrangement" which are all in one paperback book called "The Eve Chronicles" by Diane DeVillers aka (SmartyPants).

Women at non-profits make less. Once again women get the short end of the stick. | World Pulse

Women in non-profit company's still making less than they should. American women can elect a female President and get wage equity. 76 cents on the dollar, my montra, but why are we still making less than a man doing the same job.

Ms. Fiorina reminds us that women are the majority in America, and could decide the next President. | World Pulse

Good for you Ms. Fiorina, one of many GOP Presidential
candidates, when you brought up the fact that America’s majority are women. Yes
indeed, a subject that many men don’t realize, is that this next election may
be decided by women. Now that doesn’t mean that other women will actually vote
for a woman, as we all know that many women in our society won’t support other
women. It’s a known fact. But before Ms. Fiorina gets all the credit, she has
to keep in mind that Hillary is the true candidate for women, since she already
broke that glass ceiling in 2008, with 16 million votes.  And yet she lost to Barrack Obama, by having
more popular vote but not enough electoral votes to win. People would rather
have a black man than have a female President, and not much has changed. If
American women would only wake up and vote for a woman President, but will
they?

But Ms. Fiorina, don’t think for a moment that GOP men and
women will ever vote for a woman President, they aren’t that evolved yet. All
of the people on that debate stage on Wed night are out of touch with women and
it shows. The male dominated, mostly men tea party are mad as hell.  Look at how angry it made the base when a
black man, and a democrat won eight years ago. That’s why all the increased
membership in white supremacy groups, and all the haters who will do anything
to prevent another black man or any woman either GOP or not to win. The good
ole boys club is alive and well. The tea baggers who are mostly old white dudes
are alive and well. Look at all the love of the ever obnoxious Donald Trump?
That clown show goes on, with his pompous, egotistical, women hating, Hispanic
hating rhetoric. He’s making a joke out of our political process. We need to
look at why so many American’s like him so much. Do we want a loose cannon to
be our next President?
 Come on GOP you can
do better than that? Heck I’m a liberal democrat and can see the writing on the
wall. We all must fight to get rid of the carnival act that has hijacked the
GOP and get down to the real issues.

And if Ms. Fiorina thinks about it, she would know that
those “majority” of women she talked about are women who favor Planned
Parenthood. These women, who favor Hillary Clinton as our only hope for a
female President. Women, can’t we just pull together and make history by
electing a female for President and as many females for our Congress. Women
only make up a mere 17 percent in Congress). Mind you that’s tragic, due to the
fact that we are the majority in this country.
So while the GOP try to muddy the waters with trumped up
issues like Planned Parenthood and woman’s health choices. With seven billion
people in the world, how can anyone be for defunding Planned Parenthood? It’s a
typical male dominated view that men should keep running this country and
defining women’s health.
It ain’t gonna work anymore, dudes.
Women are here to stay and it’s about time men get used to
it.
So when you go to vote in the upcoming Presidential primary,
vote with your heart.
Could women do any worse?

Trumps town hall. Just another freak show

Why is CNN giving Trump huge blocks of time? Because he's a train wreck, you are like an ambulace chaser, running around with your cnn microphone. It's a shame you give him so much time. oh how funny you lost his signal for a moment had a chance to go in another direction but no you just went back to that fool. Does CNN know how foolish it would be to have this manic be President."We are going to be good< we are going to change things, all these false promises, with no plan. "I'm rich," so what, why is this idiot being allowed to make a mockery of our Presidential primary.
The town hall is as big as trumps head. his followers are un evolved, haters, sexists, racists and it shows the under belly of the American people. i am afraid that he will win and he would run rough shot over everything good in our country. He would get rid of Obama care, but has to plan to replace it, he would get rid of the IRS, get ride of all illegal aliens, build a huge wall and thinks Mexico would actually pay for it.
No this guy is nuts, and it panders to the mass of people who are angry, and mean and nasty. Shows the true colors of so many americans. Sad.

Diane,

This week, the Oregon Legislature wrapped up a historic session that moved Oregon forward on many critical fronts.

In an impressive string of legislative accomplishments, Oregon:
  • Became the first state in the nation with automatic voter registration, known as the new Motor Voter law

  • Enacted universal paid sick time for all workers, becoming the fourth state with such a law

  • Established universal background checks on all gun sales

  • Increased K-12 funding and made universal all-day kindergarten a realitystatewide

  • Reclassified most major birth control as over-the-counter medication and required insurers to cover a full 12-month supply

  • Banned “The Box” on job applications that prevented Oregonians who had served their time from getting back on their feet
Congratulations to the Oregon Legislature and Governor Kate Brown on a remarkable legislative session that will make a real difference in the lives of working families!

This plan would completely cut off Republicans attacks on the voting rights of young people, poor people, and people of color. It would be a transformative step toward taking back our democracy.

Too much testosterone in the country. Unrest in America fueled by male aggression | World Pulse

Too much testosterone in the country. Unrest in America fueled by male aggression | World Pulse

The message keeps repeating itself: When the police pull you over,
pull over. When the police say get out of the car, get out of the car. When the
police ask you questions- answer them.

Don't
run. Don't drive away and get into a chase. "Yes sir, No sir". It's
that way for everyone--everyone. It's not about what color you are, it's about
respecting the police. Of which most are good police.

Don't
resist arrest. Don't try to grab the officer’s gun. Don't get into a wrestling
match with police.

It's that
simple. Stop being the victim of your own consequences. Males need to learn to
stand down. Males need to respect authority…of any color. All this male
testosterone induced conflict, all the arrests, protests, wars, terrorism,
athletes abusing their women, all the crimes against women and children. When
will it end? When will the male psyche be healed with the power of love and
restrain?

What this
country needs are more females in positions of power. Let the power of estrogen
change the country, change the world.

Vote to
elect more women in government. Give women the chance to make a kinder, gentler
America. Could we do any worse?

Mother’s Day

by bellejarblog
This post is for my mother. This is in recognition of the countless hours of unpaid labour she did and continues to do for my sisters and I. This post is an acknowledgement of the fact that I have taken her for granted; she's given her time and energy to me so freely and generously that it wasn't until I had my own child that I understood how much this must have personally cost her. She is someone whose love and support I can rely on even when she disagrees with the choices I make.
This post is for all the people who work in childcare and are underpaid because what they do is undervalued by our society. This is for the folks - mostly women - who are often offered minimum wage or less to nurture, engage, educate and love a child.
This post is for all the people who are helping me raise my kid - my husband, my family, my friends. Thank you for being a part of his life. Thank you for being a safe person. Someday, when there's something that he needs to work through that for whatever reason he feels he can't talk to me about, he might come to you. Thank you in advance for being amazing when that day comes.
This post is for all the ways our culture simultaneously fetishizes and belittles mothers. This post is for all the women who have been told in the same breath that motherhood is the hardest job they'll ever have but also staying home with their children is lazy, unfulfilling and un-feminist.
This post is for the mothers who couldn't afford to go back to work.
This post is for the mothers who couldn't afford not to go back to work.
This post is for the women who can't take time off work to care for their sick children. This is for the women who have been threatened with termination if they stay home with their kid who's been up screaming all night because of an ear infection.
This post is for my grandmother, who was appalled that I was breastfeeding because for her formula had been a miracle that allowed her a freedom her own mother had never enjoyed. This post is for the women like my Nanny who choose to go back to work a few weeks after giving birth because they love their jobs, but at the same time don't love their children any less for that fact.
This post is for the mothers who have no choice but to go back to work only a few weeks postpartum because their government doesn't guarantee them access to a maternity leave.
This post is for the mothers who have no choice but to go back to work because although they have paid maternity leave, their wage is reduced during that time to 55% of their income.
This post is for all the mothers who have felt ashamed of the ways their bodies have changed during pregnancy. This post is for the women who never appear in photographs with their children because they hate the way they look.
This post is for the mothers who receive endless societal messages about how they should always be sacrificing more, more, more for their kids. This post is for the women who have been told that if they really loved their kids they would breastfeed/stay home/give up caffeine/never check their phone/make all their food from scratch.
This post is for every mother who has been frightened by yet another sensational "study" that somehow proves they've ruined their kids. This is for all the women who have lost sleep wondering whether their children have been put at some kind of risk because they had too much screen time or used sun screen with the wrong ingredients.
This post is for the mothers who struggled silently with postpartum depression because they were afraid that if they told anyone, their children would be taken away from them.
This post is for the mothers who struggled silently with postpartum depression because they felt a crushing guilt over the fact that they didn't love motherhood the way they thought they were supposed to.
This post is for every mother who has complained about some aspect of child-rearing only to be told to enjoy it while it lasts and it all goes so quickly and all the other trite platitudes that just make them feel worse.
This post is for my great-grandmother, who wouldn't let her kids get after-school jobs because she wanted them to have real childhoods, not like the one she'd spent working under the eye of her brutal stepmother. This is for all the women who have had difficult childhoods and, instead of furthering the cycle of abuse, do their best to make sure their children have time for fun and play just plain being young.
This post is for those of you who are estranged from your mothers and have to endure endless questions and advice from prying strangers, as if it wasn't a decision you'd properly thought through. I can't imagine how tricky it must be to navigate holidays like Mother's Day, when you're inundated with reminders of your loss.
This post is for the women who wish so badly that they could be mothers, but for whatever reason can't be.
This post is permission for you to mark this day however you want or need to, in grief or in joy or something in between.
I love you, Mom.

An essay about becoming too dependent on devices, and to remain in the present moment, be here now. | World Pulse

An essay about becoming too dependent on devices, and to remain in the present moment, be here now. | World Pulse

This is something i read today, it's about not becoming too wrapped up in our devices, phones, computers, that we need to stay grounded and present, in the now, touch somone's hand, give someone a hug, be in the now and be present, always present. here's the essay: The average person checks his or her phone 150 times a day Our phone is the center of our life. There's more power and personality in our pocket than in the rest of our traditional screens combined. We're more connected to what fits in our backpack than what sits in our living room. There's so much "us" in these devices that life comes to a standstill if we misplace them. Our phone is brimming with information, bursting with content, overflowing with entertainment. It's remarkable, really. But at times, we're not looking for mobility. We're looking for more. More energy, more sharing, more size, more sound. Stronger speakers, bigger screens, bigger experiences. We're looking to truly showcase the apps, the content, the connections, the possibilities. Those little touches of "us" that we add to our phone 150 times a day. To connect uncompromising capabilities and big-screen experiences, Showcasing a little of ourselves in the process.

Shop charges women less and men more to make up the 76 cents on the dollar inequality | World Pulse

Shop charges women less and men more to make up the 76 cents on the dollar inequality | World Pulse

When I was 16 women made 74 cents on the dollar doing the same job that a man did and he made a dollar on. Where is the outrage? When will the world start treating women with fairness and equality? How many years do women have to be treated as second class citizens?
How does this look to girls growing up, to have the vision that life isn't fair and that men get treated better? Believe me, it's something I have been working for as a feminist for over 40 years. Feminism isn't just another "F" word, it's alive and well, and we haven't come a long way...and don't call me baby.
Wage inequality is wrong and you know it. Why can't our government pass laws that entitle the female sex to equality?
So this shop is charging men more and giving women more worth when they spend money in their store. Who''s going to be next? What industry or company will follow suit? When will fairness come to America and around the world.
Maybe it will take Hillary Clinton to make that change. Why so much resistance to her already? Are men afraid that women, if they get in power, will mistreat men like they did us? Look at all the abuse, rape and meaness women get in this country. Look at all the abuse of women and girls. One in three college women were raped. Why is there so much desencion? Don't women deserve to be treated as well as men? The days of the old white men running this country is slowing dying out like extinct dinosaurs. Make way for the change, empower girls and women. It can only enhance goodness in society.
Stop supporting people and companies that don't treat women equally.
Stand up to sexism at it's worst. Be heard. Shatter that glass, class, ceiling.

Listen to John Amos, you know him from that old sitcom "Good Times" well he's grooving to some great guitar riffs, in this video, "We were hippies". In the age where some people want to "Punch the Hippie" here's a dude that's proud to be a hippy.

Now that Oregon's gone green a new way of seeing things has taken hold. Get rid of that alcohol, and light up.

Swimming in an ocean of garbage. Mankind hits new low. | World Pulse

Swimming in an ocean of garbage. Mankind hits new low. | World Pulse

Humans are throwing their trash into the ocean, and it's forming into huge balls of plastic made by the currents. Huge cities of plastic just floating around, making ocean creatures sick.

We ought to be ashamed of ourselves. And you want to know what item is the most there? Single serving food containers, seems like humans like quick and easy meals.

Do something about it. For a start stop buying bottled water.

Blood test can help track progression of Multiple Sclerosis | World Pulse

A simple blood test will be able to track the progression of MS that will show the damage that is in the brain of people with MS. Within ten years blood tests will be more popular and less costly than MRI's that show the scarring on the nerves that affects different parts of the body.

http://dide22.wix.com/diane-devillers Check out my book website for my paperback book "The Eve Chronicles" by Diane DeVillers and follow the journey of a self-reliant woman who moves to Oregon to work in a crew of foresters doing timber inventory in the Wallowa Mountains in eastern Oregon. The first of three books
"From the Waters of Coyote Springs" is followed by

"Felix and Eve" about an elderly man who looks for a live in caregiver after he has heart by-pass surgery. The free spirited Eve answers the ad and spends the summer with Felix, a rather grouchy guy who starts to open up about his former employer Al Capone when he worked for him during Prohibition. Felix is set in his ways and Eve is a go with the flow kind of person.

The third book 'The Arrangement" is about the now retired baby boomer Eve who lives on her property on Moon Mt in the eclectic town of Eugene Oregon. Vinnie lives in a yurt in the back yard and they play in a band together. When she receives a letter with a skeleton key in it she travels to Catalina Island to spend time with a former lover who has Multiple Sclerosis. Vinnie stays behind to tend to the gardens, Vinnie is in love with Eve but remains silent.http://dide22.wix.com/diane-devillers

Stop the attempt to reduce payments to vendors for wheelchairs and assessories

If you know anyone who has or needs a wheelchair: they are trying to reduce payments to our vendors who provide us with wheelchairs, assessories, and home assessments when you first become disabled and need help making your whole home accessiable
Sign this easy petition to all your people in Washington. For in Oregon it's Peter DeFazio.

Read this call to action:
ALL TO ACTION:  Protect Access to Specialized Wheelchair Accessories   The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has announced they intend to apply Medicare Competitive Bid pricing to wheelchair accessories used on Complex Rehab wheelchairs effective January 1, 2016.  This will result in payment cuts of 20% to 50% and cause major decreases in the availability (or outright elimination) of individually configured wheelchair systems that people with disabilities rely on. As further explained in the Position Paper, this change is in violation of specific Congressional legislation and subsequent Medicare policy decisions that excluded Complex Rehab wheelchairs and related accessories from the Competitive Bid Program.  Congress must intervene to get CMS to rescind this change in order to prevent the disastrous results that will occur.      There is a BIPARTISAN “sign‐on” letter to CMS being circulated in the House of Representatives to resolve this problem.  Based on existing law and policy, the letter asks that CMS issue a rescission and stipulate that the current payment policy for Complex Rehab wheelchair accessories will be maintained.    The sign‐on letter allows Representatives to add their signatures to indicate their concern with the issue and their request for a resolution.  The more signatures, the more weight the letter will be given.   Our job is to get as many Representatives as possible to sign on by Noon on March 27th.    HERE’S HOW TO HELP Representatives need to hear from people in their home districts that this is a problem that needs fixing.   A website has been developed to provide information (including the Position Paper and copy of the letter) along with tools to assist you in getting your Representative to sign on to the BIPARTISAN letter to CMS.  Please go to http://cqrcengage.com/access2crt/CBpricing and take these three steps:   1. Email your House Representative‐ By providing your name and address at the website, the system will automatically identify your Representative and generate an email for you to send asking him/her to sign on to the letter to CMS. 2. Call your House Representative‐ After you've sent the email, calling the office as a follow up to ensure you get their attention is crucial in making sure your voice gets heard.  The website provides instructions, the phone number, and concise talking points to make your call effective. 3. Tweet your House Representative‐ Something as simple as sharing a message on social media can gain attention and make a lasting impression.  Share your tweet using #access2CRT and #ComplexRehab. Use these hashtags on Facebook too. Please share this Call to Action with others to get more people engaged.  We need to get this policy reversed so people with disabilities can continue to have access to the specialized equipment they rely on each day to maximize their function and independence.  Thanks for your assistance and support!     For additional information email info@access2crt.org or visit www.ac

World's water supply dwindling in future | World Pulse

The United Nations reports by 2050 the world's population will soar to 9 Billion. Will anyone admit there is a population connection to many of the world's problems.

Water supplies will only cover 60 percent of what's needed.

Affordable care act facts. 16 million gained health care.... | World Pulse

Read the facts about how many American's benefited from the Affordable Care Act. Which was made law March 2010. 76 million benefiting from preventative care. 105 Million no longer have a life time limit on their health coverage. People with Medicare saved a total of 15 Billion on prescription drugs.
Oh there's more, Zero death panels created.  Up to 129 million people with pre-existing  conditions are no longer at risk of being denied coverage. Which is good for those of us who have chronic illness.

#noempathyforGuiliani, now he's calling Obama a communist.

https://wordpress.com/post/61410463/700
No empathy for Guiliani, he keeps digging himself in deeper. But where did he say that Obama doesn't love America? At a #noempathyforScottWalker, birds of a feather flock together. But today Guiliani is saying Obama is a communist. Implying O is a socialist, and wasn't raised like we were.
Sounds like #birther lingo. Where are these guys coming from? I guess the gop doesn't want to win in 2016. Great for women, let Hillary take her turn while you racists, sexist guys can yearn for the good old days.
