  The paperback book “The Eve Chronicles” by Diane DeVillers contains three books. The first one is "From the Waters of Coyote Springs" The book begins when Eve first moves to Oregon to work as a timber cruiser doing forest inventory for the Forest Service in the Wallowa Mountains. A very strong female who soon earns the nickname "Queen of the Comeback" from the men in the crew who constantly tease her. It only makes her stronger. Eve is a counterculture, strong-willed woman who knows her own mind but is still searching for her place in the world.
   The second book is "Felix and Eve" about a caregiver who spends the summer with a cranky elderly man who needs a live-in caregiver after having heart bypass surgery. Felix comes to trust her and every night when they play cards, he starts to tell her stories about his life when he worked for the notorious Al Capone at the height of prohibition.
The 3rd book, “The Arrangement” is about Eve a retired baby boomer who owns property on Moon Mountain in the eclectic town of Eugene in the Willamette Valley. Vinnie lives in a yurt at the back of her property and he is in love with Eve but remains silent. Every year Eve gets the same letter with the same skeleton key in it. How I use blogs to market my book "The Eve Chronicles" by Diane DeVIllers

Someone asked me about why I have so many blogs and this is what I told them.

The first social media I opened up was twitter, then facebook. I am an author and just published my first book of a fictionalized memoir called 'The Eve Chronicles" by Diane DeVillers. I self-published it and needed a way to market the book and so I have nearly 20 social media accounts where I post ten or more posts about all kinds of subjects, like links to stories about strong women, or politics, animals, place in the world. Then every dozen of those posts I put in a link to my book page on amazon.com. I opened others wordpress, live journal, wordpress, MS Connection, digg, worldpulse an international women's blog and many others. So I signed up to get emails from sites I like, women's news sites, animal sites explore.org where they have animal cameras set up, and I take these posts and write a short blog about them and then post it, then find a picture in my computer or to pixaby where you can get free pictures. It takes lots of time but it drives people to my site. I also made my own webpage on wix.com where my books are listed. Check out my author page

The men in the crew tease Eve relentlessly but it doesn't take long before they call her "Queen of the Comeback"  "Felix and Eve" is when she moves to the coast and lives in Gold Beach with an elderly man who needs a caregiver for the summer as he recovers from by-pass surgery. He's a cranky old dude but he takes a shining to Eve, they play cards every night and he tells her about his former life when he worked for the notorious gangster Al Capone back in the day.  "The Arrangement" ebook is about the now-retired Eve who has bought property on Moon Mountain in Eugene, Vinnie her neighbor, whom she let set up his yurt in her backyard. Vinnie is in love with Eve but remains silent. Every year Eve gets the same letter with a skeleton key in it. She takes off down south to Catalina Island and cares for her former lover who has a debilitating disease called Multiple Sclerosis. She stays there for the summer while Sid's wife takes a much-needed vacation. Sid and Eve reminisce about their past.  As you can tell I am still on my shameless self-promotion tour.

The memoirs of Colonel General Yuri D. Danilov, born in the Ukraine,
Father an American full-blood Oglala Sioux Indian. Mother a Ukrainian with
a close relationship to the Nikita Khrushchev family. Yuri Spends his
boyhood in Kiev, the Ukraine.

At age twenty he fly’s jet fighters as a member of the US Air Force in the
Korean War. He is recruited as a secret agent for the Soviet KGB. Leaving
Korea he is assigned to Edwards Air Force Base, California. In the late
1960’s he works on a top-secret CIA project which develops the new
Lockheed U-2 spy plane. The CIA then uses these high flying jet planes
to over-fly the Soviet Union and gather data and photographs of secret
USSR military installations. In 1960 Yuri enables the Soviet air defense
to shoot down a CIA U-2 flown by Francis Gary Powers as it soars over a Soviet military Base. When the CIA begins an investigation looking for a suspected Soviet spy in US military ranks the KGB orders him to return to Moscow.

Returning to his homeland he is allowed to serve in the Soviet Air Army.
Six months later Yuri is part of a group led by Premier Anastas Miloyan which secretly meets in Mexico with US Attorney General Robert Kennedy and a US delegation. In a long private session, the two countries resolve the dangerous October 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis. In 1965 Yuri helps train
North Vietnam MIG pilots and he flies several combat missions against the
Americans. In December 1979 he commands all the Soviet Air Regiments
during their Intervention into Afghanistan. He serves four years in the war
and after being badly wounded he is transferred back to Moscow for
medical treatment.

During his long military career servicing in two superpowers Air Force’s
he gets to meet Mikhail Gorbachev, Boris Yeltsin, Cosmonaut Yuri
Gagarin, Chuck Yeager, and other notable aviation figures.

Yuri’s memoirs relate the inside view of the deadly political intrigue during
Soviet government secret changes. The USSR is a closed society
thus most of these events were never known to the Soviet people or the
world. We also follow his awaking to the failure of the Communist system.
Lastly this story relates the lasting love and devotion between Yuri and his
wife, the beautiful Japanese-Russian, Eiko Haraoka.
